Using Define Word extension to search Auction Websites

Using the Define Word extension, you can select it to search Auction sites such as Trademe by hi-lighting a word.

  1. Download Extension  (Restart Firefox after install)
  2. Click Tools
  3. Click Extensions
  4. Click Define Word
  5. Click Options
  6. Click New
  7. Choose what engine name you want I will use Trademe as an example.
  8. Engine Name: Trademe
  9. Action: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/SearchResults.aspx?searchtype=GENERAL&searchstring=search}&go.x=0&go.y=0&searchregion=100
  10. Now you can select on a word, right click, Define and Trademe it will then search trademe for the name you want.
  11. It should work with other search sites, and auction sites like eBay, just replace the term you searched with: {search}

AT&T Worldnet:

POP (incoming mail server): ipostoffice.worldnet.att.net

SMTP (outgoing mail server: imailhost.worldnet.att.net

Charter Communications

POP (incoming mail): pop.charter.net

SMTP (outgoing mail): smtp.charter.net

Comcast:

POP (incoming mail): mail.comcast.net

SMTP (outgoing mail): smtp.comcast.net

Earthlink:

POP (incoming mail): pop.earthlink.net

SMTP (outgoing mail): smtpauth.earthlink.net

Insight Broadband

POP3 (Incoming Mail) Server: mail.insightbb.com

SMTP (Outgoing Mail) Server: mail.insightbb.com

Qwest

Both the POP and SMTP servers vary based on your physical location.

POP (incoming mail): pop.broadband.rogers.com

SMTP (outgoing mail): smtp.broadband.rogers.com

Shaw:

POP: (incoming mail) shawmail (note: if you’re using a router or firewall, you may need to use the “fully qualified domain name” instead of just “shawmail”

Time Warner/RoadRunner:

POP (incoming mail server)

SMTP (outgoing mail server)

Verizon:

Verizon DSL and/or FIOS:
