iTunes could not connect to the iPod Because It is locked with a Passcode.

- Turn the iPod off
- Start iTunes
- Plug the iPod USB cable into the computer
- Press and hold the Home button down on the iPod forcing the iPod to turn on.
- The iPod will then boot into Recovery Mode and iTunes will prompt with a dialog “iTunes has discovered an iPod in Recovery Mode, would you like to restore?”
- Click Yes
- Wait for the restore to finish then the iPod will restart and load a freshly updated iOS
