Install Gnome 3 on Ubuntu 11.04

  1. Open a Terminal
  2. Type: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gnome3-team/gnome3
  3. Type: gksu apt-get update
  4. Type: sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
  5. Type: sudo apt-get install gnome-shell
  6. Reboot and at the Login screen,select Gnome 3 as the user interface.
