Attempting to open Scrivener and having the application closing on you, the common way to fix this is adjust the file permissions follow the instructions below to repair.

  1. Open a Terminal (Applications/Utilities) 
  2. Typesudo chmod -R 0755 /Applications/Scrivener.app
  3. Press Enter
  4. Open Scrivener again.

Note: This fix has also been able to work on other OSX Applications that have problems launching.

Follow the instructions below to link your Guild Wars 1 account to Guild Wars 2

 

  1. Go to Guild Wars 2 account page
  2. Login to your Guild Wars 2 account
  3. On the left hand side click Link Accounts
  4. Enter your Guild Wars 1 details and click Ok

 

Note: Once  you have completed the link you should then get an item in your inventory (in Guild Wars 2) that will teleport you to Hall of Monuments.

Follow the instructions below to leave the Customer Experience program for Security Essentials

  1. Open Microsoft Security Essentials
  2. Click on the low arrow (next to the Help on the right hand side)
  3. Click Customer Experience Improvement Program
  4. Check I don’t want to join the Customer Experience Improvement Program
  5. Click Ok
